First year Master of Public Administration (MPA) students at the Evans School combined budgeting skills with team sports in a Budgetball tournament as part of orientation. Budgetball, a sport that combines fiscal responsibility with physical agility, was designed by the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA).
Eight teams of ten to fifteen players competed in a single-elimination tournament. The winning team, Cullen's Catchers, combined fiscal restraint with vibrant on-field gameplay to claim victory over Archibald's Avengers, Anderson's Angels, Bostrom's Bombers, Gordon's Gazelles, Layton's Lungers, Zumeta's Zingers, and the second place team, Zerbe's Zephyrs.
